Lake Safari Lodge shall not be liable for errors or inconveniences arising from inaccurate information provided by the guest.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are quoted in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) and are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at the applicable rate as prescribed by the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA). Our VAT registration number (TPIN) is 1001715969. We accept cash (ZMW), bank transfer, major credit and debit cards, and mobile money (subject to availability). A deposit may be required at the time of booking for group bookings, conference packages, and peak season reservations. Lake Safari Lodge reserves the right to amend prices at any time; however, confirmed bookings for which a deposit has been received will not be affected.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation policies vary by booking type and season and will be communicated at the time of booking. As a general guideline: cancellations more than 7 days before arrival receive a full deposit refund less any bank charges; cancellations 3 to 7 days before arrival forfeit 50% of the deposit; cancellations within 48 hours of arrival or no-shows forfeit 100% of the deposit or the first night's charge. Separate terms apply to group and conference bookings. Lake Safari Lodge shall not be liable for cancellations caused by force majeure events including natural disasters, acts of government, flooding, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Approved refunds will be processed within 14 working days via the original payment method where possible.
6. Guest Conduct and House Rules
All guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner at all times while on the premises. You agree to comply with all posted rules and staff instructions; refrain from harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour; not bring illegal substances, firearms, or dangerous weapons onto the property; supervise children at all times, particularly around the swimming pools and Lake Kariba waterfront; and respect the natural environment and wildlife. Lake Safari Lodge reserves the right to remove any guest who violates these rules without refund.
7. Liability and Disclaimer
Lake Safari Lodge accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to guests' personal belongings, vehicles, or valuables while on the premises. Participation in outdoor activities such as fishing, canoeing, and swimming is at your own risk — Lake Kariba is a natural body of water and guests must exercise caution at all times. While we make every effort to ensure information on this website is accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that all content is error-free, complete, or current. To the fullest extent permitted by Zambian law, Lake Safari Lodge's total liability to any guest shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
When you make a reservation or use our website, we may collect personal information including your name, contact details, payment information, and identification documents where required by Zambian law. Your personal information will be used solely to process your booking, provide our services, comply with legal obligations (including ZRA requirements), and communicate with you about your stay. We will not sell or share your personal data with third parties except where required by Zambian law, regulatory bodies (e.g., ZRA, Zambia Police Service, Immigration Department), or authorised service providers involved in delivering your booking. For full details on how we handle your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

If you have dietary requirements, food allergies, or religious dietary needs, please inform us at the time of booking or upon arrival. While we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your needs, we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment. A service charge may be added to restaurant and bar bills and will be clearly indicated on your menu or bill. We comply with Zambian liquor licensing laws and reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol to any person who appears intoxicated, underage, or disruptive.
11. Conference and Events
All conference, workshop, seminar, or private event bookings are subject to a separate written agreement between the client and Lake Safari Lodge. In the event of any conflict, the written event agreement shall take precedence over these general Terms. Technical issues with audio-visual or conference equipment do not entitle a client to a refund unless directly caused by negligence on our part.

Guests are encouraged to conserve water and electricity, dispose of waste responsibly, respect local wildlife and the natural environment around Lake Kariba, and avoid disturbing protected species or habitats.
